New study shows massive earthquake could cause Anderson Dam to fail

A 7.2 quake on the Calaveras Fault could cause the foundation the largest dam in Santa Clara County to liquefy, according to a new engineering report. The Santa Clara Valley Water District won't fill it all the way until more studies are done over the next 18 months.
